#4: Why do some co-workers get so tired of change?
We are continuously exposed to change—as citizens of society, at work and as individuals. Some welcome and actively work for change while others never want to change anything and always think it was better before.
It also takes time to implement change. Some co-workers readily adopt new thinking, while others stay with the old—even if they are just as inclined toward change—which, in turn, can also cause conflicts.
Handled correctly conflicts can be constructive and lead forward. Wrongly handled, which unfortunately is quite common, conflicts are destructive and a source of frustration. Co-workers’ energy goes towards totally wrong things. It affects the immediate surroundings as well as the company at large.
What can be done about it? First, you have to decide which changes to implement now and which can wait. Communicate therefore only those changes that it is important to implement right now.Greater openess to change can also be created - something that people think is good today may be even better in the future.
We offer many services that can make the actual process of change easier. Some examples are the Four Rooms of Change (understanding and handling change in a better way), stress management (reducing stress defense mechanisms and the stress and insecurity that accompany change), the power of thought (choosing goal-oriented thoughts) and creativity (openness to new ideas). We make sure your company has the right service mix.
