#9: Why do we continue to do what we’ve always done despite our new value statement?
It is common for company management to draw up a new value statement but not communicate or anchor it with co-workers. It may also be that the current values and behavior of the management do not correspond to the value statement on the company’s website or the bulletin board in the boardroom.
What can be done about that? A good start is to assess how much co-workers appreciate the present corporate culture and how they would like it to be in the future. With this as a starting point, management can develop a new vision, mission and value statement.
The next step is to make sure the new corporate culture is implemented. We offer tailor-made courses with training, assessments, workshops and coaching. It’s a question of helping co-workers change. Only then can you walk the talk, which means everybody does what they say they are going to do.
